A concerned citizen was awarded a certificate of commendation along with a cash reward during the Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony for having discovered six bundles of marijuana placed in a culvert at the Japanese Trail, Puguis last March 2025 and reported to mobile patrollers of Puguis Community Police Assistance Center (COMPAC).

The bundles were placed in a yellow sack with an estimated street value of Php720,000.00. An on-site inventory was conducted in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Sheryl Agustin and was later brought to La Trinidad MPS for documentation before turning them over to the Regional Field Unit-Cordillera. Municipal Mayor Romeo K. Salda, Municipal Councilor Richard Wacnisen, and Acting COP PLTCOL Zacarias Caloy P. Dausen presented the certificate to the citizen.

That is why we are encouraging the participation of every person to be watchful of each other’s areas. Recognitions like this is one way we could thank the community for their cooperation,” explained Acting COP Dausen. He also urged the public to directly report incidents to the 24/7 hotline of the LTMPS.
